Terms of service
1. Who we are
City Heat (“we”, “us”) operates cityheat.app, a service that ranks places currently trending in cities around the world and sells featured placements to venues. Contact: business@cityheat.app.
2. Using the site
Rankings are generated automatically from publicly available online activity and are provided for information and entertainment. They are opinions of buzz, not verified facts, and change over time. We do not guarantee that a listed place is open, accurate, safe or suitable. Always check before you go. You may not scrape, copy or resell the rankings, or use the site in a way that disrupts it.
3. Booking links and affiliates
Some “book” links go to third party services such as TheFork or GetYourGuide. Bookings made there are contracts between you and that service, under its terms. Some of these links are affiliate links and we may earn a commission at no cost to you. This never affects a place’s ranking.
4. Featured slots for venues
A featured slot places your venue in a clearly labelled “Featured” carousel above the rankings for the city and category you choose, for the period of the tier you buy. The heat ranking itself is never for sale and a featured slot never changes it.
- Review. Every slot is reviewed before it goes live, normally within 24 hours. We may decline a slot if we cannot verify the venue, it does not fit the chosen city or category, the description is unsuitable, or for any other reasonable cause. Declined slots are refunded in full.
- Start date. If the carousel for your city and category is full, your slot starts when the next space frees up. The start date is shown before you pay.
- Changes and cancellation. You can change your details or cancel for a full refund within 12 hours of paying, using the link in your confirmation email. After that, contact us and we will help where we reasonably can, but refunds are at our discretion once a slot has gone live.
- Content. You confirm you are authorised to promote the venue and that the details you provide are accurate and lawful. We may edit descriptions for length or clarity.
- No guarantee of results. We do not promise any number of views, clicks, visits or bookings.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in euro and include any applicable VAT unless stated otherwise. Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days.
5. Instagram and social posts
Where a tier includes a social media post, we publish it on our own accounts at a time we choose, in our own style. You grant us the right to use your venue name and the details you provide for that purpose.
6. Liability
The site is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to a venue is limited to the amount that venue paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
8. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus and any dispute goes to the courts of Cyprus, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your own country.
